Teaching English as a Foreign Language
If you are coming to VG to take part in any of our school or education projects, this is a great way to help you prepare and make the most out of your time here. Some like to start learning before they travel in which case we would recommend http://www.bridgetefl.com/ who have worldwide centres, but why not get to grips with your task while already in Argentina? International House (http://www.international-house.com.ar/) is very experienced in training future teachers of English.

Spanish Classes
While it’s not necessary in all our projects to have a high level of Spanish; we understand that one of the main reasons for choosing to volunteer in Latin America is to learn or improve your Spanish. Barely a 5 minute walk from the Volunteer’s house is BASP (http://www.baspanish.com/index1.html) who offer flexible lessons of both grammar and discussion.

Flight Advice
It can always be difficult to find cheap flights coming from Europe to South America but your best bets are with the following: flyforgood.com, despegar.com.ar, skyscanner.net. Once you’e inside Argentina flights and buses can be organised online too! Try these: Travelocity.com.ar,

Tourism Needs
Buenos Aires is a great place to get around the entire country and the continent from and the majority of our volunteers tend to travel to different places after their time in Buenos Aires.
We hope these sites will help you decide where to go and how to get there:

Voluntario Global en Facebook
El voluntariado es militancia social.
El voluntariado internacional es además, una forma de turismo no convencional. Es, un turismo de intercambio y responsable en contraposición a un turismo depredador y consumista.
Las donaciones de los voluntarios son el recurso más legítimo de las organizaciones para alcanzar objetivos sociales.
Otra forma de generación de recursos es la presentación de proyectos para obtención de subsidios estatales o privados.
