In Argentina the interaction between political activism and religiousness has an interesting exchange. Inside the villas, many people gather to discuss what’s happening in their community and they do it in a specific place that could be surprising from someone outside the country: churches. 

In times of recession, when the economy is not creating sufficient jobs to sustain the entire population, the social economy often plays a significant role in ensuring workers can still find decent employment opportunities.

Argentinian Independence is celebrated on July 9th every year, or 9 de Julio as it is called through Argentina. 

 Two weeks ago Voluntario Global had its traditional volunteers meeting, a space where everyone can meet each other and share something about their culture.

Neighborhoods are full of popular artists who, self-taught or with some possibility of learning in the community, enjoy and make enjoy with their voices, their music, their murals, their expressiveness.

It all started in May 2009. That day Lorena cut the blue ribbon and opened the kindergarten doors but not everything was quite complete. They started with only one classroom and the kitchen; no fence, no backyard and no roof. But that was only the beginning.

Moving away to a whole different country is kind of a big deal, especially when you're going alone. It's a challenge for anyone, even an experienced traveler.

Over the last few years, the feminist movement has seen a staggering resurgence all around the world. In Argentina, particularly it’s stronger than ever and its more visible impact can be seen in the youth.

In our day and age learning more than one language has become a necessity, a way of opening new paths to ourselves and be able to fit in society’s good standards of living.
