At Pacheco Community, our students gather every week to reflect upon real situations from our society.

Les premières civilisations pratiquaient l’agriculture en se basant sur le temps pour travailler en harmonie avec la nature.

Just over an hour away from Plaza Italia lies a secret community garden. In this special place, time seems to be suspended and behind the metallic doors, the craziness of Buenos Aires is left behind.

Laura is from Australia and Jeanne is French. They both arrived this week in Buenos Aires to help Voluntario Global with their community NGO projects. Here are a few insights of what it’s like to be Portenos for a couple of weeks:

Pacheco Community participated in the launch of a fair in the plaza of our neighborhood. Agroecological harvest, homemade food, artisanal carpentry, homemade sweets and bread and aromatic and medicinal herbs among other local products gathered.

The social organizations grouped under Voluntario Global decided to hold a "Summit" to reflect and discuss the present of our country and the strategies for the future we want to build.

At the beginning of December 2018, the G20 Summit was held in Buenos Aires. A few countries' leaders of the world, among which are the most powerful, came together to agree and define the fate of the population and the nature of the entire planet.

Today, November 30th, is National Mate Day in Argentina.

I have been working in Health and Social Care for many years and recently took a career break to travel and volunteer.
