When I first signed up with Voluntario Global in May, I thought I Voluntario Global was a small organization that helps one or two schools. After getting there, I learned that Voluntario Global is a small organization that helps over 15 communities around Buenos Aires.

My name is Laura, I'm from Denmark and I'm 19 years old. Last year I was a volunteer in one of the kindergartens in Buenos Aires for 6 weeks.

Safety in large cities in a common topic among groups and individuals who are traveling abroad. Volunteer trips can often take us through some of the largest international cities. When you’re in a foreign community, it’s important to make safety your first priority so you can avoid any type of accident, injury or loss.
It has been a year since I got back to Austin from spending about half of my year in Argentina. To say that my experience at Voluntario Global was amazing is not doing it justice.
There are many neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, and while I have not visited all of them during my time here, I wanted to give some information on the ones I have spent time in based on what I have experienced:
Voluntario Global helps local communities by being available to discuss anything that local organizations need, and offering ideas for further change and development.
