From our experience, it is transformative both for the host community and for the volunteer who joins, immerses themselves in the work, and engages in daily exchanges. For this process to be genuine and transformative, time is needed, but it is also necessary to include the volunteer in all the activities carried out by the organisation. Whether it is to help with specific tasks or simply to listen and "translate," understanding the uniqueness of the local culture.

Why do we seek a transformative goal in this exchange? Because we believe that when we reflect together and embrace cultural diversity, we build new perspectives, new ways, and renew our hopes. Volunteers leave with the certainty that many are working to change the world, and they take that spirit and those ideas back to their countries and communities and replicate them with local characteristics but the same objectives.

Volunteers are both ambassadors and links to share experiences, seek paths, and build bridges. We are diverse, but we share a common world. Many of us know that we can transform the lives of everyone from our local communities because many others are doing the same in their own communities. Thousands of small organisations like ours, distributed around the world, with active and organised communities, allow us to dream, resist, and build "a world where all worlds fit."

Engaging in international volunteering may seem like a privilege, but it is actually a demonstration of love, responsibility, and commitment.
