Wie ist es Argentinien bei der WM spielen zu sehen?
In Buenos Aires, füllen Menschenmassen den San Martin Platz (Plaza San Martin). Alle tragen Hüte und Trikots in den Farben babyblau und weiß. Argentinische Fahnen wehen überall und auch die Gesichter sind bemalt. Als Volunteers wollen wir nicht nur an der Seitenlinie sitzen und zuschauen, während die Massen um uns herum toben, sondern uns mit dem Voluntario Global – Team ins Getümmel stürzen!
San Telmo ist ein Stadtteil der argentinischen Hauptstadt Buenos Aires. Er wird als bunt, vibrierend und belebt beschrieben. Das Viertel hat zahlreiches anzubieten. Das Angebot reicht von einem Abendessen in einem seiner zahlreichen Restaurants über einen Bummel durch den lebhaften Markt am Sonntag bis hin zum erholsamen Spaziergang durch den Lezama Park. Für jeden gibt es hier etwas.

Given a brief look at the panorama of travellers’ types, two much-discussed categories stand out at first sight. The tanned tourist into selfies, and the pale volunteer, idealistic as much as badly dressed. The former is only partially interested in the local culture, but the latter certainly also struggles to put together two sentences in the local language.
